Antoine Barrault built MyCode - 2FA as a utility app for managing two-factor authentication codes. This page explains how the app handles information when you use it.

Data Collection

MyCode - 2FA does not collect, sell, track, or share personal data. The App Store privacy configuration for the app declares that no data is collected and that the app does not track users.

Authentication Accounts and Secrets

Your 2FA accounts, issuer names, account names, groups, icons, OTP secrets, and related settings are stored by the app on your device. Verification codes are generated on device from those saved secrets.

The app does not operate a backend service for your codes and does not send your OTP secrets to Antoine Barrault.

iCloud and Device Sync

When system support and your device settings allow it, the app may use Apple's local and iCloud-capable storage technologies to keep app data available across your Apple devices. This is handled through Apple's platform services and your Apple ID settings.

Camera

The app asks for camera access only to scan standard otpauth QR codes when adding authentication accounts. Camera access is not used for analytics, tracking, or advertising.

Face ID, Touch ID, and Device Authentication

If you enable biometric lock or use code-related system actions, the app may request local device authentication. Authentication is handled by the operating system. The app does not receive or store your biometric data.

AutoFill, Siri, and Shortcuts

MyCode - 2FA includes an AutoFill credential provider extension and App Intents for actions such as getting or copying a code. These integrations are designed to work locally through Apple's system frameworks and require device authentication for code access where appropriate.

Backups and Exports

The app can export plain otpauth URIs, individual account QR codes, and password-protected encrypted backups. You control when exports are created and where they are shared or stored. Keep exported files and backup passwords secure.

Purchases

The app may offer optional Tip Jar support through Apple's StoreKit. Purchase processing is handled by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy practices.

Diagnostics

MyCode - 2FA does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. If the app crashes, Apple may provide crash diagnostics to developers if you have opted into sharing diagnostics with app developers in your device settings.

Children's Privacy

The app is not intended to collect information from children. Because the app does not collect personal data, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
