Tunzika Privacy Policy
Updated September 12, 2026Tunzika does not operate its own user-account service, advertising service or analytics backend. We do not receive your listening history, photos or microphone recordings. Optional features contact Apple services as described below.
Information stored on your device
Your selected country, favorite stations, listening history, discoveries, music activity, completed quiz results, cached Apple Music profile metadata, appearance choices, and widget settings are stored locally on your device and in the app group shared with Tunzika widgets. Tunzika does not send this information to us.
Radio directory and playback
To refresh the station catalog, Tunzika contacts the community Radio Browser service. When you play a station or load its artwork, your device connects directly to the station or image provider. Those providers may receive standard network information such as your IP address, user agent, and request time under their own privacy policies.
Music recognition, camera and photos
Song recognition uses the microphone when you start recognition and sends recognition information to Apple through ShazamKit. Saving a discovery to your Shazam library is an explicit action. Album scanning uses the camera or a photo you select. Text recognition and image correction run on your device; search clues are sent to Apple Music when you search. Tunzika does not save the source photo or microphone audio to its own storage.
Apple Music and speech recognition
With your permission, MusicKit accesses music catalog results, playback, library information and available listening history. These requests are processed by Apple. Music playback and the playlist quiz require compatible Apple Music access. If you enable voice answers in Blind Test, Apple Speech processes microphone input; recognition may use Apple servers. You can type answers instead. Tunzika does not require access to your entire photo library.
Your choices
You can manage microphone, camera, speech and music permissions in system Settings. In Profile, you can clear local activity or the profile cache; these actions do not delete your Apple Music or Shazam libraries. Removing the app removes its local app data subject to system backup and retention behavior.
Apple services
Features such as widgets, CarPlay, App Intents, Siri Shortcuts, and media controls are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple’s privacy policy.
